Nature Photography – Bald Eagles
White Oak Pastures - Bluffton, Georgia
Need White Oak Pastures, a nationally recognized agricultural farm, attracts one of the largest bald eagle convocations in North America due to its enormously large breakfast (and dinner) buffet they call free range chickens. White Oak wanted proof to share with governmental agencies to demonstrate revenue loss from our protected national bird.
Solution We spent three days in and around select mobile chicken houses that provide shade minimal cover from the elements like sun and rain but not from these voracious raptors. Feeding times correspond with other local game animals being early morning and late evening meaning we had to use fast glass – Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II lens. As for the proof of the eagle impact to farm production, the photos speak for themselves.
