Minuteman 5k Trail Run and Walk Videography

The Macy Easom Cancer Research Foundation partners with the Air National Guard’s 280th Special Operations Communication Squadron (SOCS) to host the annual Minuteman 5k Trail Run and Walk and they wanted us to document the life and essence of this race through videography and photography. This event is located at Westgate Park in Dothan, Alabama and is open to all runners and walkers in southwest Georgia, southeast Alabama, and northwest Florida. Race proceeds are spent on soldiers deployed and their families as well as to the Macy Easom Cancer Research Foundation to fight pediatric liver cancer through researching a cure.

The mood on the course was great even on a morning after a torrential flood. We photographed and videoed the race and award presentation. The highlight of the day was the camaraderie of the volunteers and participants alike that created a family-friendly atmosphere and all around great race event. Our job was to capture these emotions and reflect the positive community created between these two organizations.
